Running as “Team PASS”
Dave Spero and Carlos have known each other for over twenty years. In every role they have served in for PASS, they have not only worked well together, but they also trusted and depended on each other to accomplish what needed to be done.
Never before in our union’s history has PASS had two national officers moving in tandem and complementing each other’s styles and skills.
“Having Carlos in the office next door to me, gives me confidence that I have a strong partner at the national office helping me move our agenda forward.” Dave Spero said. “He is never shy about giving me the “unvarnished” perspective of something and he is a tireless worker. His dedication to our union has made my work implementing our vision less difficult.”
There is still so much to accomplish for PASS to be elevated to Great Union status. Collective bargaining agreements are deeply invested right now. The employer is watching for any opportunity to delay negotiations. We must persevere and finish our bargaining this year and ratify legacy agreements. PASS membership is at an all-time high and continuing to grow at a record pace. Chapters are more active than ever. The PASS Political Action Committee (PASS PAC) is up 60% over the past two years and we are increasing our exposure in the aviation community and on the Hill.
For these reasons, Dave and Carlos have decided to run for re-election together as a “ticket”. They believe that the union’s continuing success is directly tied to their remaining together as a team.
